N village

Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture Rental Village Project. Simple rectangular units are randomly arranged, creating an urban landscape woven with diverse roof pitches. By eliminating fences and sharing gardens, the design preserves privacy while fostering a relaxed relationship that “does not force connections.” Leveraging the local lumber industry's background for material use and serving as a model for flexible land utilization in the future, it proposes a sustainable and rich living environment not found in uniform rental housing.
