2024.11
In putting together a basic design proposal for Shizuoka City Cultural Hall, which requires creative renovation, the design team, Mikio Tai Laboratory, and Planning Room LLC collaborated to conduct a survey to organize the given conditions. In the following year, as a continuation of the project, we conducted a survey and made proposals regarding Shizuoka City's urban development.

The city getting blue
2010.9
In architecture and town development, we bring richness to people's minds through logical thinking based on knowledge. At the same time, I would like to derive important things in creating a place by connecting things that I rarely think about and understanding the essence.

Lecture by Contemporary Dancer
2019.12
This is a research of biological reaction between dancer and audience by Moe Sugawa, a past client.
I'm trying to change the way dancers and audiences see things. Even if there were no stage steps, why would you create a virtual wall? During the dance performances, we're watching at times, the audiences always react with heartbeats, blinks, movements, etc., to give me an atmosphere and to make me feel like I'm in it.

The city can be your stage
2019.12
The close proximity of the stage to the audience and the simple structure allows you to feel a high degree of appreciation for the people in the audience on stage. Therefore, I think the composition is designed in such a way that when you dance, the audience can feel a sense of elevation and the whole thing is exciting.
In SOHO, NY, there are windows all over the wall like this, so you can practice while looking at the city. I felt it was a rich environment to be able to dance with a view of the city, as a studio on a lower floor just can't have an opening because of privacy.
Like graffiti, each person finds an interesting place to live and starts activities in a highly public place, and the viewer finds the best position in his or her own way. Some are sitting, some are standing, and some are watching from the air, I think. I find those situations to be nicer than booking a seat.
